My Story

My wife and I, along with our three children, have proudly called Franklin home for the past 25 years. We built our house in the Princeton Estates neighborhood during a time when Franklin was transforming from a rural area into the vibrant city it is today. Franklin is more than where we live—it’s the foundation of my family’s story. It’s the only community my children have ever known. They attended Franklin schools from kindergarten through high school, and the education they received here prepared them for exceptional opportunities. Today, they are all pursuing graduate programs, a testament to the strength of our community.

Professionally, I am a civil engineer with a career focused on commercial projects and land development. Additionally, I am the owner of Salous Tailoring, a thriving family-owned business on South 60th Street. My days are a balance of hard work and dedication—mornings spent on construction sites and afternoons at the tailor shop, serving customers who have become like family.

I am running for Alderman of District 5 because I am deeply committed to giving back to the community that has given my family so much. As a business owner and engineer, I bring a unique perspective and practical experience in infrastructure development and problem-solving. I am passionate about fostering thoughtful growth in Franklin, ensuring that we preserve our city's character while continuing to create opportunities for residents to thrive.

I believe in listening to the concerns of my neighbors, finding common-sense solutions, and working together to enhance our city’s future. Together, we can build on Franklin's legacy as a wonderful place to live, work, and raise a family.
